Flamenco kids class introduces children to Flamenco rhythms, musicality, movements and choreography. This hour long class focuses on building posture, coordination, focus, cardio, strength, self-esteem, self-expression and fun.

Flamenco ADULTS

Flamenco adults class is a beginner class that will introduce students to different palos or branches of Flamenco. This includes compas, rhythms, movements, hand and footwork, posture, technique, muscle conditioning and choreography.

FounderAndrea Isabella’s love affair with dance began when she was a little girl. Her Cuban and Nicaraguan roots have always influenced her passion for gatherings and celebrations. Growing up in the colorful and musical city of Miami she was always surrounded by Latin music and dance. Throughout her childhood she trained in different styles which included Flamenco, African and Latin folkoric. As an adult she studied at the University of Colorado and received a Fine Arts Bachelor’s degree in dance with a Flamenco focus, from the University of New Mexico. She studied in Spain with many Flamenco maestros including Matilde Coral, Antonio Canales, Pastora Galvan and Carmen Ledesma. In Miami she worked as a ballroom dance instructor at Fred Astaire winning competitions in Latin rhythm and smooth styles. Andrea is a certified yoga and zumba instructor, and the founder of BOCO Flamenco, whose mission is to bring dance, music and culture to Colorado.

Sara Gomez comes from a family of dancers, her father is the internationally renowned flamenco dancer Antonio Canales. She trained in Performing Arts at SCAENA, Carmen Roche and Victor Ullate's school in Madrid. During this stage, she formed her own Urban Dance troupe, Smile Crew Company, with whom she participated in events, television programs such as Got Talent and even obtained a youth award for young creators in the Community of Madrid. One of her passions in the world of dance is to teach and share the art with the little ones. She has taught Flamenco and Urban and Latin Rhythms in different schools and youth centers in Madrid and during her time living in Belgium. Sara now lives in Boulder, teaching dance and participating in various non-profit organizations including BOCO Flamenco.
